How to Make a Closed on Sunday AI Video (Step by Step)

Stand still in the middle of the Closed on Sunday choir with your own face (or your cat): one photo, a 14-second MP4 with the song, from $8.90. Every step with real screenshots.

Oct 18, 2026

In the "Closed on Sunday" music video, one man stands perfectly still in the middle of a huge choir in beige robes while everyone around him sways and sings. The AI trend that took off in October 2026 puts someone else in the middle: you, a friend or your cat, often with the choir turned into cats, skeletons or pumpkin heads. With the Closed on Sunday AI generator you need one photo and a few minutes: the AI puts your photo in the middle, restyles the choir if you want, and keeps the camera and the song. This guide shows every screen, with real screenshots.

The short version: sign in, buy a pack ($8.90 for one video), upload one photo, pick a choir, click Generate, wait several minutes, download the 14-second MP4.

1. Open the generator

Go to closedonsundayaivideo.com and scroll to Make your Closed on Sunday video, or click Create video at the top. Signed out, the generator shows where your photo goes and asks you to sign in before you generate.

2. Sign in

Sign in with Google in one click, or with your email. The videos you buy and the videos you make are tied to this account.

Google or email, whichever you prefer.

3. Buy videos

Videos come in one-time packs; there is no subscription and no free generation. Every video is the same 14-second widescreen (16:9) clip with the song, and videos you have bought but not made yet never expire:

PackPricePer video
1 Video$8.90$8.90
3 Videos$19.90$6.63
7 Videos$39.90$5.70

Checkout is handled by Stripe; the videos land in your account a few seconds after paying.

4. Add one photo

Back on the generator, add one photo of one person or one pet and pick the choir: Original robes, Cats, Skeletons or Pumpkin heads. What works best:

  • Front-facing, eyes visible, no sunglasses or hat, even light.
  • Full body or waist-up, not just a tight face crop. For a pet, the whole animal in frame.
  • Someone unexpected. Your grumpy cat or your office manager standing dead calm in a singing skeleton choir is the whole joke.

Then tick the box confirming the photo shows you, your pet or an adult who agreed. Photos of celebrities, public figures or minors are not allowed.

5. Generate

Click Generate. One video from your pack is used when it starts, and rendering takes several minutes. You can close the tab; the video keeps rendering and appears in My videos. If a render fails, the video comes back to your account automatically. With no videos left, Generate opens the three packs instead.

6. Download and post

When it is done, watch it and download the MP4 from the generator or from My videos. You get the full 14-second clip with the song. Turn on the platform's AI-generated label when you post.

My videos keeps each video for 30 days, or 1 year once you have bought the 3 or 7 Videos pack. (Screenshot from a test run: the test video plays the sample clip, not a real result.)

What to expect

  • The figure in the middle becomes your photo and the choir takes the style you picked. The camera and the timing stay exactly as in the clip.
  • The face is closest when the photo is front-facing and well lit; in a restyled choir, small details can differ from one video to the next.
  • This is an AI-generated video, not real footage, made by an independent fan-made tool that is not affiliated with Kanye West (Ye), Chick-fil-A or the song's rights holders.
